Working Smartly While Working Hard Is the Key to Passing Competitive Exams
I recently met a number of kids who were studying for competitive examinations, and I could sense their anxiety. The majority of the students remarked about how hard they had worked during Covid-19, yet they still lacked confidence. So, how do you succeed in competitive exams?
I was told that they had spent the entire day researching, which piqued my interest. I was curious as to why, if these students are so committed to their goals, their confidence is yet low.
As I chatted with these kids more, the first thing that sprang to me was that they were working hard, but not efficiently. As a result, I proposed a few things that they should do, which I will share with all of the readers in this piece.
1. Allow both your body and
mind to rest.
To succeed in competitive examinations, you must work hard, but it does not mean you must exhaust your body and mind. If you do that, you will put in a lot of effort yet make little progress.
Many students have made it their moto to sit for a minimum of 8 hours, then take a one-hour break before repeating the 8-hour process. They do it because they've observed other pupils do so or because they've been advised to do so by a variety of knowledgeable individuals.
The goal is to recognize that we are all unique, and it is critical to determine our capabilities. If you can sit for four hours without becoming exhausted, then give it your all in those four hours. You'll quickly find that you're able to grasp more, and your capacity to sit for longer periods of time will improve.
2. Learn To Have A Good Time
You will not be successful if you only work and play. To succeed in competitive examinations, you must defy the assumption that all you have to do is work hard. It is essential to have fun while working hard in order to keep your mind fresh. Allow yourself to listen to music you enjoy, watch your favourite movie, go for a stroll, or do anything else that makes your mind feel refreshed once you've satisfied yourself that you gave it your all when studying. It has been shown that pupils who are less anxious have a better probability of passing tough JEE Mock Test.
